Nancy Quinn Fund Supports Small Theater Groups
Many small and growing theater companies in New York City recently received grants from the Nancy Quinn Fund, a project of the Alliance of Resident Theatres. As a result of the financial support from the Altria Group, Con Edison, Ruth Schnurmacher Foundation, Prospect Hill Foundation, and the Puffin Foundation, the Quinn Fund was able to award a total of $55,000 to more than 50 theater companies.
The productions of grant recipients include classical plays, new works, experimental theater, plays by women, and theater for the youth. For a list of this year's grantees, click on the link below.
Since 1993, the Quinn Fund has provided $513,300 to hundreds of emerging dance companies. The Quinn Fund also offers technical assistance workshops in areas such as fundraising, marketing, and accounting.
