NYRAG Names New President
The New York Regional Association of Grantmakers has announced the appointment of Michael Seltzer as its new president.
Seltzer has extensive experience in the nonprofit
sector, including serving as founding executive director
of Funders
Concerned About AIDS, chair of New
School University's Nonprofit Management
Program, and, most recently, director of the Conference
Board's Business Enterprises for Sustainable
Travel initiative. In addition, he has served on NYRAG's
board of directors and on standing committees of the
Council on Foundations
and Independent
Sector. He is the author of the Foundation
Center's book Securing
Your Organization's Future: A Complete Guide to Fundraising
Strategies.
"NYRAG is a vibrant organization and an essential resource for New York-area funders," said Seltzer. "My aim is to maximize NYRAG's ability to help our members do their essential work — improving peoples' lives both locally and globally and to interest others in joining the ranks of our region's vital philanthropic community."
Seltzer will succeed Barbara Bryan, NYRAG's president for the past eighteen years.
