KeySpan Assists Needy Families with Energy Costs
Energy prices continue to rise this winter, making it more difficult for families to pay for their heating bills. The KeySpan Foundation recently donated $90,000 to the United Way of Long Island's "Project Warmth" which has help more than 11,000 families since 1994.
Patrick Foye, president and CEO of United Way of Long Island notes, "Project Warmth helps more than 1,200 families each winter who have one-time financial crises. Less than 15 percent of our grantees need assistance the following year, indicating we are truly providing them with the opportunity to get back on track."
As the largest corporate supporter of Project Warmth, the KeySpan Foundation and KeySpan employees have donated more than $1.1 million for the program. Learn more about Project Warmth at http://www.unitedwayli.org.
