Foundation Center's New "PhilanTopic" Blog
Focuses on Changing World of Philanthropy
New York, NY — September 20, 2007. Philanthropy News Digest (PND), the Foundation Center's daily online news service, has launched PhilanTopic, a new blog that aims to provide a forum for opinion and commentary on the changing world of philanthropy.
The blog invites comments from anyone interested in the field and can be accessed at PND on the Center's web site. "We envision PhilanTopic as an interactive platform for a broad range of opinion and commentary from foundation staff, nonprofit practitioners, and those who simply enjoy a good debate," said Mitch Nauffts, PND's editorial director and publisher.
Published since 1996, PND offers readers a comprehensive roundup of up-to-the minute news in philanthropy, as well as interviews with philanthropy's most influential figures, commentary by thought leaders, and a host of other features including book reviews, RFPs, and job listings. The new blog is PND's latest effort to provide quality content and useful services to its audiences.
