Foundation Center Launches Multimedia Events Archive on the Web

New York, NY — July 17, 2007. The Foundation Center's new online Events Archive provides free access to Foundation Center events and other resources recorded in a variety of formats. Grantseekers, nonprofit organizations, and anyone interested in the field of philanthropy can now view videos and webcasts, listen to or download audio recordings, and read transcripts of selected events at the Center's web site.

While the Center has long offered a wide array of special programs at its five regional centers in New York, Atlanta, Cleveland, San Francisco, and Washington, DC, for the first time many of these events are now being captured and made accessible online, enabling audiences anywhere to take advantage of free educational opportunities otherwise not available to them.

Offerings in the new Events Archive include "Coffee and Conversation With a Grantmaker" programs; a workshop with Jane C. Geever, author of The Foundation Center's Guide to Proposal Writing; and a presentation by Bemporad Baranowski Marketing Group (BBMG) on "Branding Strategies for Socially Responsible Organizations." The "Symposium on the Future of Philanthropy," part of the Center's 50th anniversary celebration in 2006, is also available in both video and transcript versions.

The Center will continually add new events to the Archive as they become available, making its special program offerings accessible virtually everywhere.
