Foundation Center Releases Philanthropy in the 21st Century:
The Foundation Center's 50th Anniversary Interviews
New York, NY — June 15, 2007. Philanthropy in the 21st Century, the Foundation Center's collection of 50th anniversary interviews, is now available as a printed volume or downloadable file via the Center's web site, free of charge.
Throughout the Center's 50th anniversary year in 2006, its daily online news service Philanthropy News Digest featured a special series of Newsmakers interviews that illuminate both the current state and the future of American philanthropy. The series includes interviews with 15 leaders in the field, David Rockefeller, Vartan Gregorian, and Sally Osberg among them. The Center has now published these interviews in a printed volume, Philanthropy in the 21st Century: The Foundation Center's 50th Anniversary Interviews, available to the public at no cost.
Topics addressed — including "Philanthropy in an Interdependent World"; "Governance, Accountability, and the Charitable Sector"; and "Working to Catalyze Social Change" — underscore the breadth of experience and critical analysis of these sector leaders.
