Foundation Center Elects New Trustees

December 16, 2005, New York, NY –The Foundation Center elected two trustees at its November board meeting. The new trustees are Michael F. Hayes of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Stamford, CT, and Maureen H. Smyth of the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation in Flint, MI.

Michael F. Hayes is a Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP’s Not-for-Profit and Higher Education practice. He has more than 13 years of audit management experience for diverse tax-exempt organizations such as private foundations, international charities, institutions of higher education, and national associations.

Promoted to the new position of Senior Vice President for Programs and Communications earlier this year, Maureen H. Smyth has been with the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation since 1984. She is active in a number of national and international philanthropic organizations and serves as chair of the Trust for Civil Society in Central & Eastern Europe.
