Foundation Center Issues New 2004 Editions of the
Foundation Directory & Directory Part 2
Available in CD-ROM and Print Formats
New York, NY, April 8, 2004—The Foundation Center, the nation's foremost authority on foundation and corporate philanthropy, has just released The Foundation Directory 1 & 2 on CD-ROM, Version 4.0 and the corresponding new print editions of The Foundation Directory and The Foundation Directory Part 2. Both the CD-ROM and print editions have been extensively updated to provide fundraising researchers with detailed information on the largest U.S. foundations and their giving programs.
CD-ROM offers fast access to prospective funders
With the Foundation Directory 1 & 2 on CD-ROM, Version 4.0, fundraising researchers can rely on high-speed search capabilities and sophisticated features to quickly identify potential funding prospects from among the largest 20,000 foundations in the U.S. David Jacobs, editor for the Foundation Directory and related products, comments that, "With 12 search fields to choose from, our user-friendly CD-ROM allows researchers to efficiently create a targeted list of prospective funders with a demonstrated interest in their field of interest and location. Current foundation information can also be found in the new editions of The Foundation Directory and The Foundation Directory Part 2. The Foundation Directory has been considered the primary source of information on the largest grantmaking foundations in the U.S. for over four decades. This key publication provides grantseekers—as well as foundation and government officials, journalists, and other researchers—with newly gathered data on the 10,000 largest U.S. foundations. The volume also includes over 39,000 selected grants to provide further insight into a foundation's stated giving interests. The Foundation Directory Part 2 contains profiles on the next set of 10,000 large and mid-sized foundations as determined by total annual giving amounts, and over 34,000 selected grants.

The Foundation Directory 1 & 2 on CD-ROM is available for $495 for a single users and $795 for 2-8 users in one building. CD-ROM orders include the March 2004 release and an update disk in fall 2004.
