The Foundation Center's library and learning center in Cleveland, Ohio, moved to its new quarters on the sixteenth floor of the Hanna Building at 1422 Euclid Avenue on September 21. The Center has been located elsewhere in the Hanna Building for many years, most recently in temporary space in Suite 811.
Cynthia Glunt Bailie, director of the Cleveland office, said of the new library and learning center, "This new state-of-the-art Center will allow us to expand our information and training capabilities, provide seamless delivery of core library reference services, offer hands-on training in the effective use of the most current electronic sources of funding information, and provide a meeting ground for Northeast Ohio's nonprofit community."
The new library and learning center encompasses over 3,600 square feet. It includes four public access computers, an adjacent computer lab with 16 computers, a training room with seating for up to 40 people, and staff work areas. This new space is flexible, allowing adaptation to the changing needs of the Center's audiences, and it is equipped to support emerging technologies. The new Cleveland office shares design elements with the Foundation Center's offices in New York, Washington, and San Francisco.
The Foundation Center supports and improves institutional philanthropy by promoting public understanding of the field and helping grantseekers succeed.
