OCTOBER is Funding for Arts Month
AT THE FOUNDATION CENTER

This October, the Foundation Center will host free events and classes in four cities to help artists and nonprofit arts organizations become better grantseekers and increase their funding.

Explore funding for arts in Atlanta, Cleveland, New York, and San Francisco. Highlights of our free offerings in each location appear below. Join us from the comfort of your own office and learn about funding trends and the outlook for arts and culture from experts in the field.

Representatives of local organizations who fund the arts and/or provide services to arts organizations will be available to answer your questions about their programs and chat one-on-one.

Resource Market for the Creative Community
Calling all artists, writers, performers, and others in the creative community: attend our trade fair to meet organizations that offer resources and services for artists while learning about funding and other resources available to you. On hand will be the Community Partnership for Arts and Culture, COSE Arts Network, Young Audiences of Northeast Ohio, and more.

NEW YORK
Wednesday, October 14

The Art of Serving on Arts Boards
Board members from nonprofit arts organizations will share their experiences and answer your questions on creating and being part of a successful arts board. Panelists will include representatives from Greenstein Consulting, The Drama League, the Museum of African Art, Cool Culture, and Yorinks Theater Group.

Meet the Grantmakers: Understanding the New Arts
Funding Environment

Panelists will describe their organizations' funding priorities and guidelines as they pertain to arts organizations, regional arts funding trends, and how the economic crisis has impacted foundation support for the arts.
