Kaiser Family Foundation Launches Nonprofit Health Policy News Service

The Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation has announced the launch of a nonprofit news service dedicated to major health policy issues in the United States. Kaiser Health News (KHN) will distribute in-depth stories, news summaries, interviews, and multimedia content for free through its Web site and partnerships with leading news organizations such as the Washington Post, the Philadelphia Inquirer, NPR News, and the New Republic. Headed by executive editors Laurie McGinley, former national healthcare policy correspondent at the Wall Street Journal, and Peggy Girshman, former NPR managing editor, KHN will be staffed by experienced health policy journalists and editors and will feature contributions from leading health policy commentators and independent journalists.
