This supplemental user information is applicable to all FIMS users who have the Foundation Center Export Report in their standard reports library. You can use this report to create an electronic file for exporting your grants information to the Foundation Center.

Through FIMS comprehensive reporting tools, foundations can export formatted reports from your reports library directly to the Foundation Center. FIMS provides information on fund type and subtype when fund type is specified on the web page excerpt. This is accessible through a routine to export grant data according to the specifications of the Foundation Center's standard grant-reporting format. This specialized export is located in the main grants/reports area within FIMS and is titled "Foundation Center Survey Export" (fndcentr.dat). It is run by simply defining the starting and ending dates of the approved grants that you wish to include in the report.
