Sometimes foundations seek external help for a variety of purposes, from
staff training to board development to program planning; there are consultants to fit most organizations' needs. What
follows are resources containing listings of nonprofit consultants.
The Alliance for Nonprofit Management provides
management support services for nonprofit organizations. Its home page includes links to its members.
Charity Channel's Consultants Registry Online offers a searchable directory of consultants for nonprofit or
NGO organizations worldwide. Search by name, area of expertise, or location; entries offer
contact information, background on firm and company founders, and links to web sites.
The Nonprofit Resource Center is an online
directory of Internet resources for nonprofit organizations and their administrators, board
members, and volunteers. The site provides lists of management consultants to nonprofits and
links to their web sites.
You may also be able to find local listings and directories of consultants at Center libraries in Atlanta,
Cleveland, New
York, San
Francisco, and Washington, DC, or at our Cooperating Collections.
Refer to the Center's publication, Succeeding
with Consultants: Self-Assessment for the Nonprofit, for suggestions on selecting the
right one.
