Program support for the Washington DC and Maryland Disability Vote Project, which is aimed at ensuring equal voting rights for those who cannot exercise this basic civil right because of mobility problems, visual impairment or mental retardation.

Technology upgrade to support legal work, research and advocacy on behalf of trafficked and enslaved workers in the Washington metropolitan area.

Fourth and final grant in support of the DC Child Abuse and Neglect System Reform Project to facilitate and monitor improvements in the child welfare system.
 
COUNCIL OF LATINO AGENCIES $50,000
Support for the Applied Research as a Cornerstone of Effective Latino Advocacy project, which includes writing an Executive Summary and disseminating and publicizing the research to advocate for better conditions and services for Latinos in the District of Columbia.
 
DC ACTION FOR CHILDREN$15,000
Support for the first phase of an effort to improve the number and types of placement options for DC youth in foster care.
 
DC APPLESEED $100,000
Supplemental grant in support of their work with the CareFirst Watch Coalition, whose purpose is to safeguard access to health care for the residents of the District of Columbia through careful monitoring and analysis of the conversion of CareFirst from a nonprofit to a for profit entity.

Second installment of a general operating support grant of $60,000, to help advocate on behalf of dislocated workers in the wake of the September 11th attacks and the resulting economic downturn.

General operating support to analyze budget and tax issues of concern to low and moderate income District residents, and the preparation of reports based on this information for use by policy makers, advocates and the media.

Program support for a special project to maximize the use of federal nutrition programs to help eligible families in the District of Columbia gain access to food stamps, school breakfasts and after-school and summer food programs.

Support to advocate for the reform of the District of Columbia's child support and enforcement system, which is currently failing to promptly collect and distribute child support payments.

Second installment of a $50,000 start-up support grant to strengthen and enhance the influence and visibility of the nonprofit sector in the Washington metropolitan area.

Support for the exhibition and catalogue of Margaret Bourke-White: The Photography of Design 1927-1936.
 
RESOLVE/DC OFFICE OF PLANNING$20,000
Second installment of a $40,000 start-up grant to help the Office of Planning establish a Land Use Mediation Center that will resolve specific land use disputes.

General operating support to advocate reforms that promote legal and social justice and human rights for women fleeing gender-based persecution.
