ARTS AND CULTURE
The Trusts support the core mission of mid-sized arts and culture organizations

HEALTH
The Trusts operate two grant programs primarily in the District of Columbia:

• Hospital Morale Programs — Support for projects designed to improve the morale of hospital and community-based medical clinic personnel
• Community-based Clinics Program — Operating support to clinics that offer primary care to the uninsured

COMMUNITY AND ENVIRONMENT
The Trusts support organizations or programs that:

• Preserve and protect the rural quality of the Virginia Piedmont
• Promote regional dialogue and cooperation on transportation, land use or other regional issues
• Protect and restore the green infrastructure of the Washington region.

EMERGENCY SERVICES
The Trusts support agencies and projects in the District of Columbia that provide emergency services for people who are without food, shelter, or other basic necessities

YOUTH
The Trusts support organizations or programs in the District of Columbia serving ages 13 - 21 that:

• Promote competency or leadership through the arts or through actions that protect the environment.
• Open doors to education

OTHER
The Trusts support professional organizations in the Trust's areas of interest.

CAPITAL
A very small number of capital grants may be awarded each year to organizations with which the Trusts have had a prior giving relationship.
