The Prince Charitable Trusts supports a broad array of services to keep the city vibrant and enhance the quality of life of its citizens. In 2007, the Trusts' giving in Chicago was approximately $3.3 million. Grants are awarded to organizations within the geographic boundaries of Chicago.

Prince Charitable Trusts announces the appointment of Catherine Carabetta as Program Officer for the Chicago office. Prior to joining the Trusts, Ms. Carabetta was Senior Director, Policy and Strategic Initiatives and Director of Public Policy for the Donors Forum. Before joining the Donors Forum, Ms. Carabetta worked at the Pew Charitable Trusts in Philadelphia. Ms. Carabetta has extensive experience in Washington where she worked in the offices of Senator Tom Harkin, the Office of the Independent Counsel, and for the Brookings Institution. She is a graduate of the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and Loyola University.
