The Moran Family Foundation supports innovative programs that promote healthy development of at-risk children and at-risk families whose lives are impacted by the challenges of poverty. The foundation invests in Community Based Organizations that work to empower at-risk youth and their families to enhance the opportunity for each child to achieve their full potential. By supporting the growth and development of children and their families, the foundation seeks to strengthen our community.
For 2009, the foundation will be pursuing opportunities to support innovative pilot programs being initiated or expanded by organizations with budgets of less than $1.5 million. We will not be accepting unsolicited requests for funding.
The foundation makes grants only to organizations that are tax-exempt under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The foundation does not make grants to individuals or for projects that are sectarian in nature. Invited organizations may use the "Common Grant Letter of Intent" and the "Common Grant Application" designed by the Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers. These forms can be found on their web site at www.washingtongrantmakers.org. Please submit by email to moranfamfdn@aol.com.
