The Kornfeld Foundation supports
New York City public school literacy
programs in the areas of reading,
writing, and the arts. The Foundation
has concluded its support of afterschool
programs. Since 2004 the
Foundation has focused on
professional development for teachers,
in conjunction with Columbia
University Teachers College Reading
and Writing Project, and on in-school
teaching residencies conducted by
educational arts organizations.
