The Foundation Staff

FOUNDATION DIRECTOR

Alicia Schuyler Oberman serves as the Foundation Director of the Jack Miller Family Foundation (for which she is also a Board member) and its related philanthropic funds, including the Jack and Goldie Wolfe Miller Fund. As Foundation Director, Alicia directs all of the foundation’s programs and operations and serves as the foundation’s liaison to its non-profit partners and the community. Alicia further ensures that all of the foundation’s programmatic activities are aligned with their missions and strategic priorities and she works closely with each Board member to develop the foundations’ long-term strategic plans.

Prior to joining the staff of the foundation, Alicia worked as an attorney in the corporate and securities group of the Chicago-based law firm Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg LLP. While practicing, she represented various public and private companies and individuals in a wide variety of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, joint venture transactions, divestiture transactions and corporate restructurings.

PROGRAM OFFICER

Suzanne serves as Program Officer of the Jack Miller Family Foundation and its related philanthropic funds, including the Jack and Goldie Wolfe Miller Fund. Suzanne works closely with the foundation’s Director to guide the foundation’s grant making program. As Program Officer, Suzanne ensures quality and timeliness of all aspects of the grant making process. Suzanne meets with grant seekers to work out final details of proposals and assists with fund administration. Suzanne is actively involved in cultivating and managing relationships with grantees. Suzanne prepares and presents Board materials, responds to Board members’ inquiries and facilitates the foundation’s discretionary grant program.

In addition to her duties as Program Officer, Suzanne organizes two community service events each year for family and friends of the foundation.

Prior to joining the staff of the foundation, Suzanne worked as a legal assistant at the Chicago-based law firm Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg LLP, specializing in corporate and non-profit law.
