To support its community outreach programs for homeless youth and children in the San Franciso Bay Area.

Solar Cookers International, Sacramento, CA -- $6,000
To provide general operating support for Solar Cookers International (SCI). SCI provides training and education on the environmental and human benefits of using its solar cooking and water pasteurization tools. SCI helps to reduce the human dependence on scarce wood and charcoal.

New Economy Working Solutions, Santa Rosa, CA -- $6,000
To provide general operating support for the community-labor alliance organization New Economy, Working Solutions (NEWS). NEWS provides the North San Francisco Bay Area with a public voice for the economic justice movement and develops research and public policy to promote greater equity and fairness in the regional economy.

To support presentations and lectures focused on educating the public on current social justice, immigrant, homeless, and NAFTA/FTAA/WTO policies on local and global economies.

To support the Alliance for Responsible Trade project, a coalition of labor, environmental, family-farm, and women's groups working to develop a fair trade policy with Latin American colleagues.

To support the Young at Art Gallery, the first gallery in the country dedicated to children's art work and serves as a teaching tool for local classroom teachers in the San Francisco Bay Area.

To support the Good Neighbor Agreement, an alternative to litigation and an historic accord that achieves significant environmental and social protection of the geography surrounding the Stillwater Mine in Montana.
