CPA-F Minority Scholarship Programs. Scholarships are awarded annually to minority graduate students in psychology who show academic promise and who have made contributions to the community through service or research. The scholarship program aspires to strengthen psychology by increasing the number of psychologists from California’s ethnically diverse communities. In addition to funds assisting qualified students pursue graduate level training, scholarships are available to attend the California Psychological Association annual Convention and the American Psychological Association National Multicultural Conference and Summit, the premier national conference on multicultural psychology practice and research. Opportunities are created for professional exposure to network with ethnically diverse state and national experts and to create supportive learning environments.

Giving Psychology Away to the Public (downloadable PDF document). CPA-F seeks to support the delivery of services to traditionally underserved populations. Grants are awarded to agencies to support the design and implementation of innovative programs that increase access and/or improve the quality of mental health services for California’s ethnic minorities. Prevention and treatment services that are culturally relevant, attractive, and effective are paramount.

Continuing Education Programs. The Foundation is committed to educational programs that advance psychology to benefit the health and welfare of California’s diverse citizenry targeting both the public and professional community. Continuing education programs that train graduate students, psychologists, and community leaders are supported and sponsored by the Foundation.
