Some GRANTEES of the Ceres Foundation

Families Forward helps families in need to achieve and maintain self-sufficiency through housing, counseling, education and other support services. Through case management, it helps families to identify and address the obstacles contributing to their circumstances, and it monitors families to ensure that they reach their goals.

The South Central Gifted Scholar Fund helps makes it possible for students from Crenshaw High School in Los Angeles to attend college. All these students have overcome great obstacles to achieve academic success, but the lack of adequate financial aid prevents them from attending colleges where they have been accepted.

The Los Angeles Youth Network helps runaway and homeless youth in the Hollywood area by providing a drop-in center, a temporary shelter, longer-term group homes and stabilization services. It helps around 500 youth each year to find a secure living environment, and to return to school, or get vocational training and find full-time work.

The LIFT Foundation supports programs that prevent the abandonment, abuse and isolation of institutionalized children, by providing them with foster care, health care, education and opportunities for integration into the social spheres that have excluded them. LIFT also supports programs that help trafficked teenagers.
