The Bufka Foundation was established by Carl Bufka in 1995 and began making grants in 1996. The Foundation makes grants to organizations that serve its mission of "Helping people in desperate need" in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and northeastern Vermont. The Board of Trustees is made up of two generations of the Bufka family.
