Foundation Announces Plans for
Summer Fun in the South 2006 Guide
Include Your Program Information

South Pittsburgh youth and teens will have a number of choices for summer fun in our area! Programs for youth and teens are planned in a number of local neighborhoods sponsored by nonprofit agencies, churches, schools and community groups.

The Birmingham Foundation would like to include your information for a Summer Fun in the South 2006 guide to youth and teen programs in South Pittsburgh to be published in early May. The deadline for information to be included is April 18. The guide will be published as an insert in the South Pittsburgh Reporter and sent to local schools, churches and youth–serving organizations. The Birmingham Foundation and South Consortium, a nonprofit network hosted by Brashear Association, have published an annual Summer Fun in the South guide to programs for youth and teens for several years in cooperation with the South Pittsburgh Reporter.

Summer Fun program information can be submitted to the Birmingham Foundation in several ways. We suggest you visit our website at www.birminghamfoundation.org, go to our application guidelines section and complete the summer program information form. It can be emailed to jross@bfpgh.org or faxed to 412-481-2727. The form requests the name of the organization, name of the program, program dates, site, fees, eligibility and information on how to enroll. Please feel free to supply partial information if your plans are not complete, or contact the Foundation at 412-481-2777 for a Summer Fun Program information form before April 18 or with any questions.

The Birmingham Foundation is an independent grantmaking organization which is dedicated to health and human-services related grantmaking in the south neighborhoods of Pittsburgh included in zip codes 15203, 15210 and 15211. Over $7.2 million has been distributed to 125 nonprofit organizations since the Foundation began its grantmaking in 1997. For further information, visit our website at www.birminghamfoundation.org.
