  • Self-assess the readiness of your organization to fundraise
  • Recognize key factors to consider when pursuing charitable contributions, earned income, and government funding
  • Review the advantages and challenges of each potential funding source.

Tom O'Brien

Tom O'Brien is the program director for Neighborhood Connections, a small grants program of the Cleveland Foundation that funds grassroots organizations in the City of Cleveland, many of which are small nonprofits or organizations seeking to become nonprofits. Prior to directing Neighborhood Connections, Mr. O'Brien was a community organizer at Slavic Village Development, a community development corporation located in southeast Cleveland. He worked with neighborhood stakeholders on community building initiatives, issue campaigns, and leadership development.
