About the Editor

Sarah Collins has worked for the Foundation Center since 1989, in various capacities, including manager of bibliographic services and director of the New York Library. Ms. Collins was co-editor of The Foundation Center's User-Friendly Guide: A Grantseeker's Guide to Resources (1996), and author of the online tutorial: "Orientation to Grantseeking." She also served as editor of The Foundation Center's Guide to Winning Proposals (2003), and as book review editor of Philanthropy News Digest for many years.

Ms. Collins holds a Bachelor's Degree from Grinnell College and a Master's Degree in Library Service from Columbia University. Prior to joining the Center, she held executive positions in special and public libraries.
