Foundation Grants

Some foundations provide grants, loans, and in-kind services on an emergency or long-term basis to individuals for personal, living, or medical expenses. Many of these grants are paid to the hospitals, doctors, or agencies that actually render the service rather than to the individuals. Some require a referral from a social service agency or a doctor, others accept direct applications by individuals.
