Where can I find out about job openings in the nonprofit
sector?
Securing a position with a nonprofit organization is no different than finding any other job. The usual sources should be consulted: classified advertisements in national or local newspapers, Internet resources, employment agencies if appropriate, and your own network of friends
and acquaintances who might know of job openings.
The following Web sites that post nonprofit job listings should also be consulted:

Openings are browsable in the following categories: fund-raising, program, executive, administrative, early career opportunities, and by field. For other books and articles on careers in the nonprofit sector, try searching our Catalog of Nonprofit Literature (CNL), the Center's bibliographic database. You could start searching on the subjects "Nonprofit organizations--employment" or "Nonprofit organizations--employment--directories".
Many of the books and articles found through CNL can be located in Center Libraries and some Cooperating Collections. It is best to call ahead to verify a specific library's holdings.
You will find a number of national publications that list nonprofit career opportunities at Foundation Center Libraries and some Cooperating Collections. Each of the Foundation Center Libraries maintain nonprofit job listings for their geographic area that may not be listed in other sources.
