Where can I find historical tax returns and annual reports for foundations?

The Foundation Center maintains foundation annual reports and other publications for 3 to 4 years before they are archived at the Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) University Library. IUPUI maintains the repository for the Foundation Center's Historical Foundation Collection, consisting of records gathered since the Center's creation in 1956. The Foundation Center's Historical Foundation Collection comprises materials obtained from private foundations, the Internal Revenue Service and public sources. The collection consists of four series: 1) IRS Tax Document Collection, 2) Historical Information Files, 3) Annual Reports (including a browsable database of holdings), and 4) Print Directories.
