Where can I find historical tax returns and annual reports for foundations?

The Foundation Center keeps foundation annual reports and other publications for 3 to 4 years. Then, they are archived at the Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) University Library, which manages the Center's Historical Foundation Collection.

Our Historical Foundation Collection consists of materials obtained from private foundations, the Internal Revenue Service, and public sources since our establishment in 1956. The collection consists of four sub-collections:

1. IRS Tax Document Collection
2. Historical Information Files
3. Annual Reports (including a searchable database of holdings)
4. Print Directories
