Institute for Not-for-Profit Management

The Institute for Not-for-Profit Management at Columbia Business School provides graduate-level management training to executives of nonprofit organizations through a variety of programs: the Executive Level Program, Middle Management Programs, and Leadership Development Program. Each of these is an intensive, several-day course, rather than lasting a full semester. The National Teacher Recruitment Clearinghouse is a "one-stop shop" for information and resources about teacher recruitment and retention. Developed through a planning grant from the U.S. Department of Education, and hosted by Recruiting New Teachers, the Web site offers practical resources for recruiters, teachers seeking jobs, prospective teachers, and others looking for information about how to become a teacher and how to improve teacher recruitment and retention efforts. Nonprofit Coordinating Committee of New York

The Nonprofit Coordinating Committee of New York (NPCC) is a membership organization dedicated to protecting and helping the nonprofit community of the New York metropolitan area. Nonprofit Good Practice Guide

The Nonprofit Good Practice Guide is a project of the Philanthropic and Nonprofit Knowledge Management Initiative at the Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy & Nonprofit Leadership. It is an online resource directory and capacity building tool that offers preferred practices, glossaries, resources, trends and Web site profiles within ten topic areas including: accountability and evaluation, communications and marketing, governance, and technology. The Nonprofit Resource Center is designed for managers, board members, and volunteers of nonprofit or tax-exempt organizations. Partnership on Nonprofit Ventures

The Partnership on Nonprofit Ventures (Yale School of Management-The Goldman Sachs Foundation) provides education and offers business planning assistance, cash awards, and access to the investment community for nonprofits. In May 2002, The partnership launched the National Business Plan Competition for Nonprofit Organizations to assist nonprofit organizations in the development of promising profit-making ventures. Stanford Social Innovation Review

Published by the Center for Social Innovation at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, the Stanford Social Innovation Review offers ideas and strategies to advance the strategy and leadership of grantmakers, nonprofit managers, consultants and researchers. Strategic Solutions

Strategic Solutions, a collaborative effort of the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, the James Irvine Foundation, the WIlliam and Flora Hewlett Foundation, and La Piana Associates, is dedicated to educating the nonprofit sector about the potential value of strategic restructuring activities, including mergers, joint ventures, and administrative consolidations. Texas Nonprofit Management Assistance Network
