Here's what we have in store:
  • Educational Opportunities for Grantseekers in the Arts — the following classes are offered at some or all of our five library/learning centers.
    • Guide to Arts Resources on the Foundation Center's Web Site - Learn how to use the Foundation Center’s online resources to find support for your arts organization. This class will demonstrate how you can use the Foundation Center's content-rich web site and online databases to find funders interested in supporting arts programs. Grantmaker profiles, grant records and 990 filings, RFP Bulletin, Philanthropy News Digest, and links to other philanthropy web sites are just a few of the resources we will cover.
    • Introduction to Corporate Giving for Arts Organizations - During this session you learn about vehicles for corporate giving and the various types of support available for arts organizations, including in-kind and employee matching gifts. In several locations guest speakers will share advice on soliciting corporations.
    • Grantseeking Basics for Individuals in the Arts - This class teaches individuals involved in the arts how to develop a plan to help you find funding for your arts-related activities.
    • Getting Started with Foundation Grants to Individuals Online for Artists - This demonstration class, held in a computer lab, teaches artists how to search for grant support among the 6,000+ foundation profiles in our online database.
    • Finding Funders for Arts Organizations - In this session you will learn how to create a list of funders interested in supporting your arts programs. The class provides an introduction to the Foundation Center's online databases of grantmaker profiles, grant records and 990 filings.
    • Grantseeking Basics for Individuals (online training) – This e-course, available at our web site, helps prepare individuals to seek out and identify potential sources of funding for projects in the arts.
  • Arts Funding Watch - Arts Funding Watch, our e-alert service for those interested in the arts, will be published every Wednesday in October and will feature a new profile of a recent arts award winner in each issue.
  • Youth in Philanthropy – A specially designed arts page for children and youth that offers interactive and informative content.
  • Philanthropy News Digest – Features new book reviews, interviews, and an entire special issue with commentaries by leading experts and practitioners in the arts.
