Cleveland

Linda Springer

Friday, July 31, 2009
10:00 - 11:00am

Come and start a conversation with Linda Springer from Cleveland Social Venture Partners.

Cleveland Social Venture Partners (CSVP) is a philanthropic venture fund that supports nonprofit organizations in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Using the venture capital approach, partners “invest” their pooled funds in selected nonprofits and at the same time actively nurture their financial contributions by offering their time and professional expertise. The objective is to help develop the organizational capacity and sustainability of each nonprofit that receives support, so they can serve the community more effectively and efficiently.

About the Presenter: Linda Springer is executive director of Cleveland Social Venture Partners (CSVP). Springer brings to the position experience in creating and managing programs in alumni and donor relations at Case Western Reserve University and Lake Ridge Academy, where she also worked in fund development and communications. In earlier positions, she worked with Ohio Designer Craftsmen managing galleries around the state selling work by Ohio artisans. Her early career includes critical care nursing and teaching. Linda holds an M.B.A. from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, a bachelor's degree in nursing from Mount Mercy College, and has done graduate work at the Mandel Center for Nonprofit Organizations at Case Western.
