Learn how the Center's resources can help you become a more effective grantseeker! For beginners, this class provides instruction in foundation research and identification of potential funders. The presentation is followed by an introduction to the Foundation Center's comprehensive Web subscription databases, Foundation Directory Online Professional. We will teach you how to:

• Create customized searches to develop targeted lists of foundations that will match your organization's funding needs;
• Search grants made by top funders;
• Run full-text, keyword searches of IRS returns; and
• Maximize search results with insider tips and strategies for mining the database.
