Decline in 2009 Foundation Giving
Steeper Than Anticipated


Our latest survey findings show that foundation giving will likely decline by more than 10 percent in 2009. Based on responses of close to 600 foundations, Foundations' Year-end Outlook for Giving and the Sector also finds that continued reductions are expected in 2010. However, more than three-quarters expect that the field of philanthropy will become more strategic as a result of having weathered the crisis.

New Library Hours

Beginning November 1, 2009, the Foundation Center-Atlanta will be closed on Mondays. Our hours will be:
  • Tuesday-Friday:
    10:00 am-5:00 pm
  • First Tuesday of
    each month:

    10:00 am-8:00 pm
  • Last Thursday of
    each month:

    10:00 am-8:00 pm

November Holiday Schedule

The Foundation Center will close at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 25, and will be closed on November 26 and 27 for the Thanksgiving holiday. Normal hours will resume at 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 1. Happy Thanksgiving!
