This course is geared toward individuals who are interested in applying for 501(c)(3) status for a nonprofit organization and will address questions in regards to:
Presenter: Kelli Byers Hooper, Esq., Partner at Hooper & Honore, LLC Kelli Byers Hooper, Esquire, practices law in the Atlanta metro area with Hooper & Honore, LLC. Kelli is a frequent lecturer on the topics of nonprofit governance and nonprofit formation. She currently sits on the board of directors for several Atlanta nonprofits, including Living Room, Atlanta Nonprofit Professionals, and Cascade Community Services. Kelli graduated from the University of Denver with a major in Biology and minors in Chemistry and English. She received her Masters in Public Health from UCLA and worked for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a Public Health Prevention Service Fellow. She attended Samford University's Cumberland School of Law and clerked for the Southern Poverty Law Center, the nations largest nonprofit law firm.
