Finding Foundation Support for Your Education

Atlanta

Are you looking for undergraduate scholarships?
Are you a graduate student seeking doctoral support?
Are you seeking funding for continuing education?

Join us for our one-hour class on obtaining financial aid for your studies. We'll dispel some common myths about foundation support and discuss:

  • What you need to know before approaching foundations
  • The different sources of funding
  • How to create a personal profile to attract funders
  • Print and electronic resources that provide information on scholarships from foundations
  • The application process, including tips on how to make your application successful

Special Presentation on October 14!
Following this class on October 14, join us for this interactive, hands-on session. Individuals will gain information that will help develop a map for a personal scholarship search; learn the finer points of outside scholarships; chart where outside scholarships are likely to be found in their local area; discuss popular resources for outside funding; and learn how to search uncharted territory for new resources.

In this session, you will learn:

  • How to maximize search results from online scholarship search databases.
  • How to "follow the breadcrumb trail" to find little-known awards in your city and state.
  • How to paint a winning self-portrait in scholarship essays, activity lists, and interviews.

It is never too early to begin preparing for a college education. Between deciphering admission requirements and deciding how to pay for college, parents can quickly become overwhelmed. This seminar focuses on the parent's role in academic and financial preparation for college.

This workship will be presented by Kimberly Sellars-Bates, President/CEO, of KSTB Enterprises, LLC. KSTB Enterprises, LLC is an Atlanta based company with over a decade of experience in corporate, individual, and foundation research and grant writing as well as extensive experience in providing information on organizations who may fund a particular project or priority.

Mrs. Sellars-Bates, founder of KTSB, is skilled in the art of proposal and grant writing, research methodologies, (including scholarship searches), board building and training and fundraising strategies.
