Finding Foundation Support for Your Education

Atlanta

Are you looking for undergraduate scholarships?
Are you a graduate student seeking doctoral support?
Are you seeking funding for continuing education?

Join us for our two-hour session on obtaining financial aid for your studies. We'll dispel some common myths about foundation support and discuss:

  • What you need to know before approaching foundations
  • The different sources of funding
  • How to create a personal profile to attract funders
  • Print and electronic resources that provide information on scholarships from foundations
  • The application process, including tips on how to make your application successful
Calvin King with the Georgia Student Finance Commission (GSFC) also will speak about his agency's services and programs, including the HOPE Scholarship and related funding. GSFC is the agency responsible for administering student financial aid programs provided by the State of Georgia. Its mission is to promote and increase access to education beyond high school for Georgians. For more information about GSFC, please visit gacollege411.org.

We invite you to join us at the Dogwood Branch of the Atlanta Fulton Public Library System and learn about foundation support and financial aid programs provided by the State of Georgia for your education.
