General and Funding Resources for People with Disabilities

There are several resources on our site and elsewhere specifically for people with disabilities and grantseekers looking for disability-related funding that we have gathered together to facilitate your research efforts. Three main gateways on our Web site lead to this information, listed below as links accompanied by brief descriptions.

  • Audiobook: The Foundation Center's Guide to Proposal Writing, 5th Edition
In partnership with the New York unit of Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic (RFB&D), the Foundation Center is making available free of charge a new audio version of the most popular book in our Fundraising and Nonprofit Management Series.

  • Requests for Proposals — Disabilities
If you are a volunteer or staff member of a nonprofit organization that serves people with disabilities and is seeking funding for its programs, you may find it helpful to browse our listing of Requests for Proposals specifically geared towards nonprofits in the disability field.

  • For Individual Grantseekers
This area of our Web site gathers in one convenient place links to our user aids, online tutorials, and other tools to help individuals find funding. Also available are links to training opportunities for individual grantseekers in all our library/learning centers.
