RESEARCH DATA ASSISTANT (P/T long-term temporary)
Reports to: Senior Director of Research
Job summary: Excellent opportunity to learn about U.S. foundation and corporate philanthropy and gain professional experience in data processing and report production. Responsible for assisting in data collection, keying, and production, report preparation, and proofreading for various research reports.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares statistical tables and charts, assists with report preparation, proofreading, and all phases of book production.
- Collects and summarizes information from annual reports and other foundation publications, foundation Web sites, IRS information returns, and other print and on-line resources.
- Processes responses from grantmaker surveys and contacts respondents to solicit and verify fiscal and/or programmatic information.
- Prepares PowerPoint slides, handouts, and other presentation materials.
- Performs other duties and special projects, as assigned.
Requirements: : Strong data production, proofreading, and research skills. Must be accurate, detail-oriented, and deadline-oriented. Skilled in using standard computer applications, especially Excel, Word, and Access. Experience with SAS and/or SPSS a plus. Skilled in library and Internet research. Record maintenance and general office skills essential.
Schedule: 14 hrs./wk; flexible schedule between Monday - Friday, 9-5.
